Hayden Panettiere joins Funkmaster Flex in the Ford family

June
30

Looking strikingly similar to Chynna Phillips, Palisades native Hayden Panettiere attended Ford's Flex Rally 2008 in LA last week. She sported a new short do for the event. The charity event, which involved 10 celebrity teams driving around brand new 2009 Ford Flex crossover vehicles on a treasure hunt, was also attended by Panettiere's "Heroes" [...]

Richard Gere's Fiat fiasco

June
30

Richard Gere just can't catch a break in Asia these days. First it was the Shilpa Shetty kiss heard round the world, which led to him being threatened with lawsuits for public indecency. Then it was his outspoken remarks about the upcoming Olympics, and how the opening ceremonies should be banned due to the Chinese [...]

Will William Hurt be the next baddie on 'Damages'?

June
30

One of the big question marks hanging over the season finale of damages is whether Ted Danson's character, Arthur Frobisher, is actually dead or not? He's shot in the season finale by a disgruntled former employee, but we never actually see him in a coffin.

Well, if the casting for season 2 is any indication, I'm [...]

June
26

All you die-hard Mets fans out there, if you're still wondering how exactly the Willie Randolph firing went down, or if you just want to publicly apologize to the former manager on behalf of the Mets organization, now's your chance. We hear it on good authority that Randolph will be at One restaurant in Irvington [...]

Music to my tone-deaf ears: 'All right, Ice-T, Joan, let's play the Feud!'

June
24

Can't wait for tonight's premiere of Celebrity Family Feud? Wondering which suburban refugee—Larchmont's Joan Rivers or Summit's Ice-T—will triumph? Curious how long it will take Ice-T to make a reference to his penis? Hold onto your hat and take a gander at this:

Many thanks to Sienna Farris for pointing us to the advance clip. [...]

Bryce Dallas Howard joins the Connor family for "Terminator 4″

June
19

Despite her less-than-auspicious previous roles in summer blockbusters (see "Lady in the Water" and "Spider Man 3″), Armonk native Bryce Dallas Howard looks like she'll be cast in the next film in the "Terminator" saga. She'll be playing Kate Connor, wife of hero John Connor (who'll be played by Chrisitan Bale).

The movie, currently in production [...]

Celebrity Family Feud showdown: Ice-T vs. Joan Rivers

June
19

Because NBC just knew you couldn't stand the wait any longer, "Celebrity Family Feud" is now going to debut a week earlier than originally scheduled. The Al Roker-hosted show will launch on Tuesday, June 24, 8-9pm, says BuddyTV. And just to sweeten the deal even more, Week 1 will herald the showdown of Ice-T versus [...]

This week: Ron Howard's vexing problems with the Vatican, Justine Bateman's SAG sympathies, and Vanessa Williams return to Chappaqua.

And the quiz—which, I might add, stumped Stacy-Ann (third week in a row!)—is as follows:

Which actor from the Lower Hudson Valley appears in M. Night Shyamalan's new thriller "The Happening"?

Justine Bateman's SAG solidarity

June
17

The Screen Actors Guild appears to be having a hard time luring any A-list celebs to join their potentially strike-inducing cause. But one of the few who was happy to lend their name to the cause is Justine Bateman. It's just one of the many causes the Rye native has adopted lately.

SAG's main goal is [...]

We won an award! (And we didn't have a clue about it!)

June

Earlier this month I was emailing with the good folks over at Platial—the map tagging and social networking site—about becoming a tester for their new iPhone Beta viewer. And while I didn't manage to make the cut for that, Platial's Tracey Rolling knew instantly who I was and was happy to inform me that Suburbarazzi's [...]

Sarah Michelle Gellar row, row, rows her boat at Rockland Lake

June
17

It appears that Rockland Lake State Park is one of the filming locations for the new Sarah Michelle Gellar flick, "Veronika Decides to Die." Thanks to my ever vigilant colleague, Karen Croke, who tracked down last Saturday's New York Post, which had a pic of the actress in a Starcraft boat out on the water.

The [...]

Vanessa Williams boomerangs back to Chappaqua

June
16

You gotta feel for Vanessa Williams. And I'm not referring to the diss she got from the other Vanessa Williams (the one from "Melrose Place") in Essence Magazine. Nor am I talking about the indignity of hosting Sunday's 2008 TV Land Awards (dedicated to honoring such 1980s fare as "Roseanne" and "The Golden Girls") [...]
