James Blake upsets bland razor spokesman at Olympics

Yonkers native James Blake needed only two sets to upset Swiss phenom Roger Federer in Olympic tennis earlier today.
It’s his first time beating Federer—the No. 1 player in the world—in nine tries.
Federer, who hocks five-bladed razors with fellow clean-shaven sports celebs Tiger Woods and Derek Jeter, is one of the world’s best athletes about whom few Americans care. To me, he’s like “Gone With The Wind.” I’m sure I’d be really impressed by watching both, but frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.
Blake, however, is a classy, bright guy with a winning combo of personality and humility. And he’s an amazing story to boot: In addition to overcoming scoliosis as a child, in 2004 alone he endured a broken neck, the death of his father and a nasty case of shingles. Plus, he was a high school classmate of John Mayer and attended Harvard University before dropping out to pursue his tennis career.
James Blake: The best a man can get.

Olympian James Riley Blake
Thank you for an awesome week of great tennis on the Olympic Stage. Your tennis was outstanding. You may not have brought home an Olympic Medal, but your Olympic Gold and Golden Moment was beating Roger Federer. Your level of play was Superb each and every Match.
Life mirrors Sports. As you quote on your Website, “It’s one of those the wonderful correlations between life and tennis; the only way to succeed where you have failed before is not to dwell on the past but to keep your mind on the task before you.â€
I cannot say that I was not disappointed and saddened that you would not be bringing home an Olympic Medal; BUT that does not translate into your Performance and Olympic experience as being a failure JB. Life does mirrors sports and like sports, in life there are wins and loses; but sometimes what the world may view as failure or a loss is just that, a world view! We are in the world but not of this World. I choose the view not of this World.
James, your fans are living this journey with you in correlation to their lives. In two short days, we have experienced with you the THRILL of an AWESOME VICTORY and the AGONY of DEFEAT. LIFE! However, we can relate to a grounded and well-rounded athlete who through adversity, setbacks, pain and suffering rejoiced when he ran into trials and tribulations for he know they were good for him and helped him to learn to endure. Did these trials and adversities interfere with the accumulation of a larger number of medals, trophies, titles and rankings? Oh Yes; but through it all he rose to the occasion and showed the world that his life is being used for a greater purpose. He will not always be standing at the end of the day with a medal in hand, but the world will see a life well lived, filled with goodness, kindness, integrity, grace and grit.
LIFE…………………..YOU WEAR IT WELL JAMES RILEY BLAKE!
~ VICTORY ~
See you at Flushing Meadows …………
