Vermont Film commission is very accomodationg for films in the past including Ghost Story, What Lies Beneath, Me Myself and Irene. There are remnants of authentic communes still hiding in them thar hills. Check it out; cowpastures, swimming holes; will try to get some pics to show. Hotel(near identical) has stream behind it but not visible, unless you want it to be. Many other hotels with similar names in town don't be fooled. also near proximate accesss rto huge state park with beaver kill river running through it. NY State Film Commission very accomodating. I'm retired but used to coordinate finding suitable State owned locations for Pat Smith, NY Film Coordinator through the 90's.
