There’s no denying it: Denzel Washington is a good looking bald man. Especially with a goatee. The Mount Vernon native returned to his hometown this morning to present two research scholarships — the, ahem, Pauletta and Denzel Washington Family Scholar in Neuroscience Awards — to med students Lindsey B. Ross and Debi M. Thomas.
Many thanks to honorary Suburbarazzo Nicole Neroulias for sending a cell phone pic of the event (the first one in the series below). All of the other photos are by Carucha L. Meuse.

“Denzel Washington presents scholarships at Mount Vernon High” [LoHud]
The Illinois senator made a surprise appearance last night on Letterman, appearing on the North Salem resident’s show via satellite to deliver the “Top 10 Interesting Facts About Barack Obama.”
10. My first act as President will be to stop the fighting between Lauren and Heidi on “The Hills.”
8. When I tell my kids to clean their room. I finish with, ‘I’m Barack Obama and I approved this message.
5. I have canceled all my appearances the day the “Sex and the City” movie opens.
Enjoy the rest after the break.
Forget Britney Spears. Rosie O’Donnell wants everyone to “Leave Miley Cyrus alone.”
The South Nyack resident used her blog Monday to stick up for the 15-year-old singer, whose Vanity Fair photos taken by Annie Liebowitz — in case you hadn’t heard by now — have caused a bit of a stir this week.
Annie Liebowitz; I had two photo shoots with her. You kind of do what she says. It’s intimidating, Annie Liebowitz. I also didn’t think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity. I thought it was sort of a beautiful portrait, you know. I like the one of her and her dad, too, I don’t know. It’s Annie Liebowitz, people, you know. Leave Miley Cyrus alone. Disney, making her apologize: Oy, oy, oy, oy, oy.
Since O’Donnell once played a guest on “Coffee Talk with Linda Richmond” — the “Saturday Night Live” recurring sketch featuring Mike Myers playing a female talk-show host inspired by his then-mother-in-law — I’ll give you a topic: The Liebowitz photos of Cyrus are art and/or pornography. Discuss.
