Stalking Lower Hudson Valley Celebrities … So You Don\’t Have To

Hayden to Cosmo: Why does everyone think I’m going to screw up?

To all you faithful Suburbarazzi readers who’ve been wondering why exactly I haven’t been posting much for the last couple weeks, the reason is simple: I’ve been catching up on my back issues of Cosmo.

cosmo-0408-cover_mv.jpgIt’s been a grueling ordeal, but there was one ray of sunshine between all the diet tips and eyeliner faves: This interview with Palisades native Hayden Panettiere in the April issue. In it, she discusses:

1. How annoying it is that everybody wants her to go all Lindsay Lohan.

“I think that people look at me as just another one of those girls who’s going to screw up, like ‘She’s going to get into drugs, and she’s going to get into the parties.’ I have the occasional glass of champagne when I’m celebrating something, but generally, I don’t drink. I’m a pizza-and-a-movie girl.”

2. How she can “rock this body.”
“I don’t have a model’s body. But I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m okay with what I have. I can rock this body, you know.”

3. Why she’d rather kick butt than be pampered.
“I do as many of my own stunts [on NBC’s “Heroes”] as they’ll let me do. Not a whole lot scares me.”

Perhaps most shocking of all, even though she told Cosmo she’s a vegetarian, she’s also apparently not a fan of lettuce—“What’s with all the salads?” Yes, my friends, to borrow a line from “The Usual Suspects,” she’s a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, that’s a riddle.
