Fourth time’s the charm? John Schneider seeks Good Ol’ Bid in ‘General Lee’ sale

Mount Kisco native John Schneider, who played Bo Duke on “The Dukes of Hazzard” TV show, last year failed three times on eBay to sell his model of the “General Lee,” the show’s iconic, bright-orange 1969 Dodge Charger.
He’s hoping the fourth time is the charm Jan. 19, when the auction will be moved from the Internet to an actual floor at the Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Ariz.
In a first attempt to sell the car in early May, Schneider sought a seven-figure sale to fund a sequel to his movie “Collier & Co.” Although someone posted a $10 million bid, it was a goof.
Even with a stricter bidder screening process, the second attempt—this time for charity—crashed a week before the auction deadline when the eBay listing was deemed erroneous on May 22.
His third attempt was May 29, when the auction resulted in only one bid of $100,000, which was less than the minimum Schneider established before the second auction, according to CNN.
