Howard Stern reporter interviews Suburbarazzo; report slated to air tomorrow on Sirius

Earlier today, I spent some 20 minutes on the phone with Steve Langford, a reporter for Howard 100 News—a team of journalists that cover stories relating to the Howard Stern show for channels 100 and 101 on Sirius satellite radio.
Quips one tongue-in-cheek promo, they’re “fair and balanced—about Howard.”
This morning, Langford briefed the Stern crew on an exclusive Suburbarazzi interview I conducted with Stern’s sound effects guru Fred Norris. I decided to give the reporter a call later in the day and invite him to discuss that interview and more of my personal experiences covering Stern, his crew and celebrities who know him. Langford took me up on the offer and was pleasant, professional and thorough in his questioning.
We talked about Norris’ gig and interview in Eastchester; Stern’s first professional deejay gig in Briarcliff Manor and other Westchester connections; portions of my exclusive interviews with Chevy Chase, Isaac Mizrahi and Charles Grodin (post pending) in which they reflect upon Stern; a Manhattan encounter I once had with Stern sidekick Robin Quivers; and the origins of my fandom. (My sophomore-year college roommate introduced me to the show in 1997; I’ve been hooked ever since.)
I doubt all of these topics will be incorporated into the Howard 100 News report, whose lengths can range from 30 seconds to about 3 minutes, but you never know.
My segment is slated to air on Sirius channels 100 and 101 sometime tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 3), most likely in the afternoon. As I mentioned earlier, two or three Howard 100 News briefs air before commercial breaks during daily reruns, so it’s tough to pinpoint when the Suburbarazzi-related segment will air. If one should miss it Thursday, the news report might be rebroadcast Friday on channel 100’s “Week in Review” show, which airs from about 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Fridays.
As usual, I’ll keep you updated if and when I find out more information.
