Stalking Lower Hudson Valley Celebrities … So You Don’t Have To

Introducing Suburbarazzi's People of the Year

December
3

If you’re one of the lucky subscribers to InTown Westchester or Rockland Magazine, by now you’ve probably received your copy of the December issue. And if you happen to have made it through our 20+ page gift guide, you no doubt came upon our year-end roundup of the local residents “who most affected the news in 2007—for better or worse.”

I’d always planned to bring the lists to the Suburbarazzi faithful, but three things got in my way: 1. Our magazine websites are now three months out of date and unfortunately it doesn’t look like our web team will get caught up any time soon. 2. With 20 people on each list, I should have started in November to get them all in before New Year’s. And 3. Seeing as how the list has so many obvious non-celebs—the Great China Buffet back-alley garlic stomper, the Bedford Dominatrix, the John Jay “vagina” Three still crack me up, but are hardly Suburbarazzi regulars—it would need to be weeded down anyway.

Simple solution: Whittle down the list to the top 25 celebs (sorry, Skip Storch!), both Westchester and Rockland, and post everything here.

The fun begins tomorrow.

In the mean time, take a look at the fantastic design of the printed versions, courtesy of our superstar art director, Ali Burke. (Both files are downloadable as PDFs.)

i read the "people of the Year" article and can't help but notice how a local rapper was praised for his mentioning New City in his song. but i have heard another rapper by the name of Fire who's music is way more realistic and perfected he is also from Nyack juast as Lucky me. He has an amazing Album out which has Rockland all over it there are numerous tracks that talk about Rockland County and Nyack. I just think that the research should have been done and that Fire should get a little credit for what he has done!!

  3. FIRE'S #1 FAN

WOW i can't belive this…. as someone who is a very big fan of FIRE i can deffinetly vouch for him and say that FIRE DOES NOT do any of the things that was said above…He is way more on top if his game and has alot going on he has gotten his music onto itunes and has signed a distribution deal on top of that hi has an amazing myspace page that is really creative and thats something i dont see on ;cky me's page the last time i saw it, it wasnt really put together.. i've been following him for awhile and he alwasy has something new he might not make shirts but he sure knows how to make good music… if you've ever had a conversation with him he is really inteligent and knows what he's talkin about…he might not get the exposure that lucky me has but sometimes people who are in the spot light don't necicerally deserv it… all in all

    FIRE IS ON FIRE!!
    RING THE ALARM

    A faithfull fan!!!

  4. belladonna

Personally, I dont see the point of newcitylovesluckyme of criticizing FIRE. Have you personal witnessed Fire doing crack, because unless you have proof that is slander. Tiffany's point was she personally felt Fire would have been a better choice, because of his talent, to represent Rockland. All I know is FIRE has Florida's attention and is going to help put Rockland on the map.

  5. RELIC

Yo what's deal man how you going to come in here and say anything about mah nigga FIREEEE come on please you can't say he ain't FIRE. Out of all the rappers to come out of rockland he's the best in the game! In every track he brings the truth with some serious flows and bone crushing punch lines other dudes like lucky me ryhme like 12 year old boys man, talking about shit they saw on tv and not even witnessed forget about doing. soft lame ass niggas come man FIRE is that nigga anyone saying different check HIS SHIT ON ITUNES AND BUY THE RING THE ALARM ALBUM AND TELL ME THAT SHIT AIN'T FIRE SOON AS IT COMES OUT THE SPEAKER!!!!

  6. *~*BROWN SUGA*~*

I cant belive all the bantter that fire is getting.. this is a guy that is representing what he belives in and isnt phony.. yeah lucky is all about new city but he isnt on point.. His delivery is wack and he isnt very appealing.. i mean have you seen this guys music page it is degrading to women and not very tastfull.. at one point it was filled with nudity.. that is not the kind of things i want to see as a woman fire is way more tasteful.. i am deff behind him 100%

FIRE ALL THE WAY… HATERS F*** OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND WHO EVER SAYS FIRE DOES CRACK MAYBE YOU HAD A LIL TOO MUCH UP YA NOSE THAT DAY AND GOT CONFUSED!!!! YOU CAN TELL THEM "BS" SAID THAT!

  8. FIRE's Girl

First an formost i gotta shout out FIRE… he is deff on his shit… and what the fuck is a lucky me???

FIRE has a world of differences when it come to this guy.. and imma state them all…

    • He has contacts with the head CEO @ ZOOMUZIK wich entitles him to world wide distribution and a shit load of other things that im sure lucky me doesnt have…
    • His music is sold on iTunes and is doing really good does the other guy have that???

*Fire dosnt need to write 100 songs a year to prove his hottness… when he drops a track nobody can refuse it ..all of his songs are bangers and no one dare to deny that..

*Fire's fan base doesnt stop in rockland it echos thru out the tri-state and rolls all the way over to the west coast.. but its not done there.. he's a hit overseas also.. (Eat your heart out haters!!)

*FIRE gets respect where ever he goes b/c he is real and thats what the streets recognize!!!

*He doesnt need phoney low budget Youtube video's to spread his message.. he's too real and that shit travels on it's own…

*and my personal favorite.. he looks 100% better than The other guy.. and thats what the ladies love..

So all in all FIRE is just that.. he's on fire and he dosnt plan on going out any time soon so fall back .. and to tiffany i dont know who the hell you are but thanx for showin my man love..
