I am sickened, nauseated, and most of all, morally insulted by what these horrible people are doing to these intelligent, friendly creatures. I do not put shame on Japan, but on every cetacean murderer in the world. It’s not just in Japan. It’s all over the place. Whales, dolphins, and porpoises are killed by the thousands for their meat. Why do they even kill the cetaceans when they already have cattle and sheep and pigs to feed them!? The disgusting greed and oblivious ignorance of many people on this Earth have put countless creatures in peril. The remaining people who have not been tainted and calloused by society should act to defend the creatures of our world. Maybe not like Hayden did, but in a way that will gradually cut down the whalers and dolphin hunters and ultimately show the world how wrong this really is.

Ok I saw the video and Hayden was hardly in “histronics” about it. She just had a bit of tears on her face. It is not her fault if the camera focused on her more than her friends. Hayden crying did not take the spot light off of the dolphin killings, just showed how sad (hardly strong enough to describe it) it was.

Okay … as much as I respect someone so young for being so convicted (mislead and dangerous as her actions may have been), I have to agree with your statements about the crying jag. I mean, ALL of those surfers were out there doing the same deed, and ONLY Panetierre flew into histrionics about it. To me, it was selfish, immature, and served only to take the focus off of the dolphins, and make her look like a martyred warrior for the cause. Then again, she’s only 18, so I suppose that’s to be expected. What’s interesting to me is all the viciousness you’ve gotten for it. It’s funny how people are all about tolerance, and doing your own thing, and save-the-animal-of-the-moment … and that whole attitude flies out the window and these people become as vicious and intolerant as a Klansman, just as soon as you express any opinion outside their parameters. Sad that it’s happening; sadder still that it’s happening mostly unnoticed; and saddest of all is that these are the people who will come out in droves and rob us of every liberty we ever had.

So does making fun of a beautiful girl because she cries at the thought of a baby dolphin being tortured make u feel important? Or does it make u feel like a big man? U are disgusting and shouldnt be in a position to spread ur ridiculous views. The story was touching and a person with little moral fabric such as yourself shouldnt be writing about it. The world would be a beautiful place if ppl such as yourself were not in it.

Captain Paul, don’t misunderstand: It’s impossible not to be moved by the dolphin-slaughter story. I just can’t help finding the Panettiere’s dramatic fanning of her tears a little humorous. Call me a holocaust denier, if you must, but I prefer to just think of myself as a “Heroes”-season-two hater.

People are either part of the solution or part of the problem. Hayden is part of the solution and she takes action to back up what she believes in. The writer of this piece is obviously an apathetic piece of fecal material who thinks it’s funny to cry over death and cruelty. I bet this parasitic Nimrod thinks holocaust documentaries are hilarious.
