The Price is wrong for Rosie

Rosie O’Donnell will not be hosting The Price is Right next year, according to Fox News. Despite a less-than-subtle lobbying campaign from the Rockland star—and plenty of blog posts about her strong desire to take over the show from a retiring Bob Barker, O’Donnell supposedly rejected an offer from the show’s producers, whom she met with last Thursday.

According to Roger Friedman, the offer she was given was “substantial.” What then was the sticking point? Apparently, O’Donnell didn’t want to relocate (the show is filmed in L.A.). O’Donnell just loves Nyack too much!

Meanwhile, Friedman also reports, The View’s ratings post-O’Donnell have taken a nosedive. The show has lost over 400,000 viewers.
Friedman calls O’Donnell’s loss “an unmitigated disaster for” for ABC Daytime.
