Rosie has always had star power because she has always been controversial. That fact was always a part of the plan to battle the ratings. She lives an alternative lifstyle and many of her ideas are to the left. She gets away with things that the average conservative to conservative liberal would be persecuted for saying. I disagree with the war, but the statement indicating that the American troops were terrorist was going a bit too far!

Evey time I see a blog or news story defending o'dummy I'm amazed.

She accuses American troops of killing 10 times the civilians who have died in Iraq - most of them were killed by terrorists, islamic terrorists. Doubt it? See the anti-war propagandists at Iraq Body Count.

She says fire doesn't melt steel (Say "smelting," "welding," and look up "iron age."), then tries to blame the government for 9/11.

Perhaps worst of all, she tries to claim American soldiers are responsible the made-up 650,000 Iraqi dead.

Meantime, Baba lets this crap go on until Elizabeth finally grows enough brass to take the lying bigot on. Now we know where Wawa stands too. Typical far left liberal.

The best comment I've seen so far on o'dummy is:

Ching Chong, the Witch is gone.

I think Rosie showed great restraint and judgement. My mom & I watch "The View" most everyday together, as much as possible. We watched the spirited debates and saw the love & passion that Rosie brought to the show. Sometimes,
even if we did not totally agree with her feelings, or if
our views were not as strong as hers, it was great to see
real, honest feelings for the politics, the show itself,
all celebrities and their shows, etc., etc., etc. It was
great to see her back up her interest in children's charities and other related personal & public interest.
She brought light & focus to different children's illness and also gave donations personally & also brought in other
sponsorships. Rosie will be greatly missed. No two ways about it, it was a great show that was made better with
the personality that Rosie brought to the view.

Note that her detailed interest & knowlege of TV shows, old and new, love of Broadway, and many other aspects of
"celebrity" helped to bring in extra depth and an extra
personal touch to her interviews. Think of all the fun
related to her "crush" of Tom Cruise.

My mom & I were really looking forward to the build up to
the final shows with Rosie and her pending visits over the
years to come. I know it would have been a great finale.

Rosie & I have similiar birthdates, both of us born in March, 1 week apart. I have recently identified with her
on the areas of loyality (to the show), being considerate
of her co-workers and their feelings (& hormones), and the
fact the work isn't just work, it's pride & personal.
I hope to see a lot more of Rosie now that I have found her blog. I have not always followed such things in the past, but if Rosie will not be on TV 4-5 days a week, then
I will try to continue to support her in this alternative way. I also know she plans a little downtime, but knowing she has a blog where she releases only what she wants to release is a good alternative.

Yeah Rosie. Yeah Barbara Walters for supporting her & bringing her to the show.
