Steven Seagal shoots ‘Marker’ in Stamford

It’s about time the martial arts macho man paid a visit to Stamford. In his new film, “Marker,” he’ll play a small-town police officer and, yes, he’ll be filming in the Stamford Police Station.
As far as I know, this is the first action movie to be filmed in CT since “Die Hard with a Vengeance” set up on the Merritt Parkway back in 1995. And according to the Stamford Times, the film will feature many of the PD’s facilities: the Bedford Street station’s evidence room, its pistol range, and local patrol cars.
Filming for “Marker” begins May 18 and, believe it or not (my new RNN catchphrase), it won’t be the only movie shooting in Stamford. “What Just Happened?,” a Barry Levinson flick with an incredible cast—Bruce Willis, Robert De Niro, Sean Penn, and Katonah native Stanley Tucci—is also setting up shop there. As badass a cast as that is, I’d still take Seagal in a fight any day of the week.ÂÂ

Steven Segal’s still making movies?
Actually, the proper question should probably be: People are still paying to see Steven Segal movies?
Is it possible to label someone a Z-list celebrity?
