I’m still unhappy with the news that for the second Incredible Hulk movie, Ang Lee was dropped as director. Now the word is out about who’ll be replacing Eric Bana in the title role. Yes, that’s right, the not-so-jolly green giant will be played by Edward Norton.
I’m not sure whether to relieved or even more angry. See, Norton is a fine substitute for Bana (having seen him transform into a captivating nutjob in movies like “Fight Club” and “American History X,” he may well be much better), but I can’t help wondering what kind of magic Lee, a Larchmont resident, could have worked with him as the lead. And Robert Downey Jr. as Ironman? Awesome, too. I just don’t get why director Louis Leterrier (whose biggest film to date is “The Transporter) gets to benefit from all this fine casting instead of known genius like Lee.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: the first Hulk was a solid flick. Watch it again.

The first Hulk fought a poodle, please!! How is that solid? My question is this… will Ironman make a cameo in the Incredible Hulk movie?
