Stalking Lower Hudson Valley Celebrities … So You Don’t Have To

Hayden Panettiere graduates from the school of “Heroes”

tjndc5-5dm7x5ncol1rktpg77v_layout.jpgIt feels like an eternity since the last Hayden Panettiere newsflash—alright, two weeks—but we’ve got a good one today, thanks to TV Guide. One of their bloggers got inside the 700-person season one wrap party for “Heroes” at the Cabana Club in Hollywood.

We already knew that Panettiere, a Palisades native, was due to graduate from high school soon. But apperently “Heroes” creator Tim Kring decided to bring the commencement to the young actress, holding an impromptu graduation ceremony, complete a high-school diploma, a band playing “Pomp and Circumstance,â€? and Panettiere donning a cap and gown.

Although the TV Guide operative didn’t score any scoops on the rest of the remaining “Heroes” episodes, s/he did get to see Hayden give a live performance with a band made up by Greg Grunberg (who plays Matt Parkman), “House” star Hugh Laurie, “The Bachelor”s Bob Guiney, “Kitchen Confidential”s Bonnie Somerville, and James Denton of “Desperate Housewives.” Alas, the band didn’t seem to know Panettiere’s forthcoming pop single “Your New Girlfriend,” so instead she sang “Hit Me with Your Best Shotâ€? and “Ironic.”

Many thanks to intrepid Journal News editor (and Friend of Suburbarazzi, or FOS) Amy Vernon for the tip.
