While stars like Nicole Kidman, Toby Maguire, Steve Carell, Chris Tucker, Jackie Chan, Mandy Moore, and Justin Timberlake were busy wiping the green googly glob from their delicately treated celebrity skin, one starlet attending the Nickelodeon event yesterday, wisely made some arrangements to avoid the show’s time-honored tradition of sliming famous faces.
According to USA Today, Heroes star Hayden Panettiere called her agent before hand to make sure she wouldn’t get slimed (apparently, she was concerned about ruining her expensive Stuart Weitzman shoes—but couldn’t she have changed into a pair of sneakers before going out on stage?).
The former Palisades resident will begin shooting Fireflies in the Garden, co-starring Julia Roberts, tomorrow in Austin, Texas. The film tells the story of a family “torn apart when faced with an unexpected tragedy,� according to Hollywood .com.
