Stalking Lower Hudson Valley Celebrities … So You Don\’t Have To

Calling all celebrity cartographers!

March
2

Last weekend we launched an all new feature in our sidebar, the Suburbarazzi Celebrity Map. Thanks to the good folks at Platial.com, who host the map, we’re able to give you a snazzy graphical representation of all our star-studded neighborhoods. Although I’d experimented with creating our very own Google Maps enabled page, ala Gawker Stalker, the functionality of the Platial window in our sidebar—and embedded here, in this post—is fantastic. Try it out.

Also, please note: this map does not include any specific home addresses, just the towns that famous people live in, as well as public spots where they’ve been sighted. If you do see a specific address, chances are it’s for a school they attended or Starbucks they frequent (just click on the celebrity name and an explanation will pop up below the map).

The best part of all: Users can submit their own celebrity sightings. Under “Add a Place,” simply put the celeb’s name in the “place name” box, give the address or town, and then add a description. Congrats, you’re now officially a Suburbarazzi!

About this blog
The suburbs are full of A-list (and plenty of B-, C-, and D-list) celebrities. Consider this a loving tribute to the beautiful, the wealthy, the talented, and the Baldwin of the Lower Hudson Valley.
