How did Judge Judy make Forbes’s list of the 20 Richest Women in Entertainment?

Or more to the point, how is it possible that a daytime TV judge could somehow have more money than Nicole Kidman and Cameron Diaz?
The Forbes list, which came out yesterday, includes the usual list of suspects: Oprah, J.K. Rowling, Martha Stewart, Madonna. But by far the most surprising name on the list is Greenwich resident Judy Sheindlin, who came in at #13, just behind Britney Spears. Judy’s net worth: $95 million. Apparently, that number was derived from a $100 million four-year contract she signed for her show.
Who knew that Judy was commanding a David Beckham-caliber salary? Furthermore, did her husband, Jerry—who practices law in Putnam—get a similar salary when he was on “The People’s Court” back in the late ‘90s?
Suddenly Jeanine Pirro’s career change is starting to make a whole lot more sense.

Nothing about Judge Judy, but the Forbes list is a totally false distortion of the facts. It purports to rank the top 20 richest women in “entertainment” yet there is no ranking for Kylie Minogue, whose estimated net worth of $250 million is well above Judge Judy and the lion’s share of women on the list.
Posh Spice is also missing from the list and she is arguably half as rich as David Beckham.
Forbes blew it by only listing the women that they thought of, not the actual richest 20. That’s not journalism.
Get real. Kylie Minogue does not make that much money! She is just a minor local star in England and Australia. Her album sales aren’t high and she doesn’t make much money from touring. And her underwear line is a big flop. Her net worth is probably $25 million.
And what about J-Lo? Is she not worth about $330 million?
Kylie Minogue is somewhere in the $35-$40 million dollar range. J-Lo is worth nowhere near $330 million. Think about it! When a record producing mega conglomarate such as P Diddy is only worth $300 million J-lo would be lucky to be worth $60 million. Now Madonna, Celine, and Barbara Striesand are all way over $150 – $200 million plus becuase of their long careers and lucrative conracts.
kylie minogue earns between $10million to #30million (US) per year (according to Business Review Weekly, Australia) I’ve no idea what she now owns or what her total net worth is, but as she’s been performing for many years and for most of the later years she been earning around $20-$30 million, my guess is she has at least $100-$200 millions (US) if not more. Not bad!
Jennifer Lopez is worth between $150 – $200M US.
Her clothing lines make more than $550M a year plus her perfume pulls in around $225M annually.
She has been earning these numbers since 2002 so i would expect to see her $110M that was reported a few years ago jump dramatically with the launches of her new products.
Kylie Minogue has made a ton of money. She started in TV in the mid 80s. As for music, she has sold somewhere between 40 and 60 million albums. Most of Kylie’s concerts have been sell outs. She has a variety of product lines that have generated plenty of money. At this point, I would think Kylie has to be worth at least $50 million dollars.
Get real David, i checked the BRW Kylie mde 40 million pounds alone lst year and that is not including her fortune for her sell out tours this yer!! PPLE always unestimte this beauty she is worth over $250 million dollars remeber we are doubling her money from pounds which is sid to be 120 million pounds!!
In 2008 Kylies Net worth was published as 40 million pounds. Thats around $75 million US. That is a fact that you can count on. However the KYLIEX2008 tour grossed around $100 million which would leave her next worth for 2008-09 to be around $85 million US

people seem to forget kylie is one of the most recognized women in the world. if you dont know her face or name you know her music. she has sold 65million albums and thats not cunting her singels( which sell well because she always has bonus songs on them). not mention shes made a fortune in advertising. and concerts all sell out. she has never done a tour before in the US until just recently and those dates (exceptthe the last new york show on the 13th) even sold out. plus she is not a stupied woman she has the busniess smarts that rival Michael and madonna. If anyone thinks she worth less than 200 to 300 million is either idiot or doing what people have been doing for years. under rating her.
