Remember that whole Madonna-adopting-an-African-boy-who-already- had-a-father-and-didn’t-need-to-be-adopted thing…yeah, apparently Angelina Jolie does as well. The one-time Sneden’s Landing resident is quoted by a French gossip magazine as saying the pop star’s recent Malawian adoption was illegal. “Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where he was born. In that country, there isn’t really a legal framework for adopting. Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal.”
Ouch! Scathing. But the actress, later tried to clarrify that she wasn’t trying to start a feud with Madonna: “The article included many falsehoods…I said many positive things that were omitted.â€?
Positive things, for example, like the fact that she’s a huge fan of “Holiday.” Those French gossip rags! Never giving an actress a fair deal!
