Remember all those naysayers who guaranteed Rosie O’Donnell joining The View would be the end of Daytime TV as we know it? Well, it’s time for them to eat some Nielsen-flavored humble pie. The show earned its best ever November sweeps ratings, surging 27 percent from last year’s numbers. The average audience currently is about 3.4 million viewers a day, making it the forth most watched show on Daytime TV. Which means those unpleasant rumors that Lady O was planning to cut and run off the chat fest is no doubt causing a few heart palpitations around Disney offices.
Meanwhile, Gawker reports its time to get your resumes ready—if you happen to be a masochist. A tipster tells the gossip site that Rosie’s production company is staffing up, looking for a “green, but very smart assistant with room to grow…Please note: This is not a place of employment for the faint hearted.� Thanks for the heads up!
