Stalking Lower Hudson Valley Celebrities … So You Don\’t Have To

Cancellation Watch: “The Nine” may have lost its ninth life

December
6

ABC’s bank heist drama, “The Nine”—starring Suffern native Tim Daly as the likable-but-tormented cop—has been put on “hiatus.” But then, we could have told you as much in mid-November, when it was the #1 vote-getter (42%) in our Cancellation Watch poll (beating out 3rd place “3 Lbs.” which also just got yanked). And while DeathWatch hasn’t yet moved it over the show graveyard yet (“The Nine”s status still reads as “coma”), USA Today came out yesterday with an uncharacteristically harsh assessment:

The show isn’t dead yet, and it could always have a ratings rebirth when it returns. But I wouldn’t count on it. Blame creator error, network incompetence or sheer bad luck. But in the end the answer is still likely to be the same: a shorter run than the show deserved.

There you have it. So now it looks like all of the Lower Hudson Valley’s television hopes and dreams are riding on you, Hayden Panettiere (aka the cheerleader on “Heroes”). With Tucci and Daly out of the picture, the Palisades native may be our last, best hope for local representation in the prime-time schedule.

I’m not a fan of Beyonce….(or her mother who gets involved in every possible thing she can). Beyonce is “over-exposed” in the entertainment world. I’ve seen her on several talk shows & she always comes across to me as being very impressed with herself… “oh look at me…I’m gorgeous”. Truth be know, my six year old niece has a better command of the English language. As far as Jennifer Hudson…hats off to her….she was one of my favorites during her stint on American Idol !!! The buzz is she may be award material for this production of Dreamgirls!! Go them ‘em Jennifer!!
